What the workbook does

  • AI inventory

One row per AI use case with the para 4.7 attributes. Thirteen factual questions drive the rating; no one types a 1–3 score.

  • Risk materiality

Impact, Complexity and Reliance (para 4.12) combine into inherent materiality, then residual materiality after twelve Section 5 controls, checked against your risk appetite.

  • Gaps by paragraph

Required controls follow from the rating and attributes, such as independent validation and a contingency plan for High (paras 5.19 and 5.3). Open gaps are listed by paragraph.

  • Providers and incidents

A third-party register and an AI incident log feed the footnote 18 measures: AI incidents and their financial impact, material use cases on a single provider, and threshold breaches.

  • Readiness by date

Every expectation in Sections 2 to 6 with status, owner and evidence, split by the two dates: 7 October 2027 and 7 October 2028.

The scores and thresholds are a starting calibration, set on the Scoring sheet. MAS sets the minimum dimensions (para 4.12) and leaves the methodology to each financial institution (para 4.10).
